Foley Bouzouki
The Foley bouzouki has become a very popular instrument in recent years, and for good reason.It beautiful design and bright acoustics make it perfect for most Irish musicians in a session or band situation. This is a 1998 Foley long scaled bouzouki with a large body, and a very rich tone. This bouzouki works great for chords and melody.
The Foleys follow the Abnet design alot, especially the earlier models.The horned head design and the very small body on the earlier instruments was very common, but the later instruments have a chunkier head and a much large body size. I would love to try one of the small body bouzouki's.
I have seen a few very decorative Foley Bouzoiuki's and I really like them alot.Above is a lovely comparison of the Abnet and the Foley side by side. I love the Foley, and keep it tuned GDAD, it has an amazing ringing tone over chords. I would highly recommend anyone getting a Foley bouzouki.
