PLANXTY are reforming for a set of gigs in Ireland. It was billed as the 3rd coming and they sold out in the first hour!!!! They added an addition 6 shows and they sold out before you could reach your wallet. Not bad for a band that split up 20 odd years ago. I was actually in Korea when the news broke, so I had no chance to be there. They has been talk of a live cd and possibly a live DVD, so lets keep the ol' fingers and toes crossed. Planxty are still one of the best Irish bands and the extremely fast snapping up of tickets says to me that they are still missed by many!
