This is a Portuguese Styled mandola made by Button. It has a very high radius fret board and a wonderful fan head . These strange looking tuning pegs hold the tuning very well but they are quite difficult to restring.

You will need to buy a very strange looking machine to make your own double loop end strings. Always find it difficult to find strings for this one, and have got in to the habit of adjusting regular strings to fit.

Spruce top,walnut back and sides and bone bridge and nut . Produces a very sweet tone. A good fun instrument, that will bring alot of questions at a session.
