The Video Clips Page 4

The recent concerts with Andy Irvine and Rens Van Der Zalm has added another angle on Andy's music. On this tour they played a wonderful selection of new and old songs. It has been a wonderful experience for people to hear old classic like ' You Rambling Boys of Pleasure', 'West Coast of Clare', ' Autumn Gold' to mention a few, all with the backing of the talented Rens.

He is a few clips of Andy and Rens on part of there German tour. Special Thanks to my Friends in Germany for sending these to me.

Enjoy

A tune written in 1968, and still requested as much today as when it was released. It is very nice to hear it with the added colours of Rens. It is also quite incredible that Andy can still put so much emotion in to a track after 36 years. Beautiful.
This is another one of my favorite songs. Originally sung together with Patrick Street but I much prefer Andy singing it solo. Here again Rens adding some lovely touches. This is another fantastic piece of music for the bouzouki.
If you have a video recording of Andy or have something to add to the archive, send it to me.
Aragon Mills.

The tune that follows Springfield Road is this master piece. It is called 'Aragon Mills', written by Si Khan and wrapped in the most beautiful bouzouki work you will hear. The emotion that Andy can produce on this instrument is quite incredible. It is such a shame to have to cut it and also to lose the beautiful piece of music that leads to the song..............but go and see him sing it live. This song is worth the price of the ticket on its own !

Suleman's Kopanitsa.
This tune has been arround since Mosaic to Mozaik, and here is a exqusite mandolin duet version with Andy and Rens. Suleman's Kopanitsa is one of the best instrumntal tracks I have heard in years. Enjoy !
