I bought this wonderful Kentucky mandolin while in Hong Kong about 10 years ago. I was looking around some of the music shops, just seeing what odd instruments they had. I was very surprised to see a mandolin, and a carved top one too. I wasn't interested in buying another mandolin but this one just sounded so dam good that I bought it there and then. It was my first carved top and it has matured well over the years.
