Gibson A4 Mandolin.
From my collection, I have to admit that the mandolin I play the most is an old, quite rough looking, Gibson A4 made in 1920. It just has such a wonderful sweet tone. I know that when people are looking for an instrument to buy, that they often shy away from the rougher looking instruments but this is such a sweet sounding mandolin and the one I would not be without.
It was refretted recently with bigger frets, and it feels just great !Also the tuners were replaced and work very smooth. For those ' has to be all original' collectors, this one is not for you but for the players........this is as sweet as they come.
