Fylde make a truly wonderful range of instruments and I really do enjoy the sound they produce.This was a magnificent instrument but with t he very long neck and the very large body construction, I found it quite difficult to play comfortably.

 

It was custom made with a cedar top, where as they usually use spruce. This is a wonderful instrument with a very powerful bass response. I jump between the GDad and GDae tuning alot on this one, seems to work well for both!

After a long struggle to play this huge Instrument the bouzouki went to New Zealand. To a great musician called Bob Mc Neil. I swapped it for a mandola was used on his first album.It was basically the same body with a much shorter neck.........much easier to play !

The Bouzouki had a Headway pick up installed, and the Mandola has a martin pick up.
